Policies To Keep You Safe

With the current COVID-19 environment, the safety of our dancers, staff and parent community is of the upmost importance.

In accordance with Public Health guidelines, we have put new protocols in place to help keep Tandem Studios a safe environment for our dancers, teachers and parent community.

  • Increased cleaning protocols. Each studio is fogged with vital oxide between classes and all surface areas are sanitized frequently throughout the day.
  • Our HVAC system has recently been replaced and it is frequently sanitized.
  • Temperature checks, health checks and hands sanitized at the start of all classes.
  • Smaller class sizes
  • Individual, distanced, 6 ft x 6 ft dance zones
  • Staggered class start and end times to avoid crowding
  • Multiple entrances are used to allow for social distancing and faster check ins.
  • All change rooms and common areas are closed for now.
  • Masks are required at check in / check out and in all common areas. Our teachers all wear masks in class.
  • Our policy on dancers wearing masks in class will continue to be informed by public health guidelines, but dancers are welcome and encouraged to wear masks to dance in if they are able.

Payments & Refunds

We’ve structured our payments and refund policies to allow for flexibility at this unusual time.

A $25 registration deposit is due upon registration and the balance of payments is spread across 3 installments due in September, November and January.

If public health protocols prevent us from running classes in the Studio at any point in the year, all classes will move to Zoom. Classes will continue to run the same day and time.

If we do experience a short-term facility closure due to COVID-19, all classes will continue virtually on Zoom until we can safely return to the Studio.

Parents choosing to withdraw their dancer from class are required to send written notice to registrar@tandemstudiostoronto.com. Refunds will be processed on written cancellation requests received prior to March 15, 2021. No refunds will be processed after March 15, 2021.

All refunds are subject to a $25 administration fee. Registration cancellations received after October 15, 2020 are subject to an additional cancellation fee of $50 per class. Refunds will be pro-rated based on the number of classes that have already occurred.
