Tone and Sculpt

This challenging class is based around, however not limited to, resistance exercises using weights, bands, tubing, medicine balls and any other small apparatus our very creative instructors can put to use. There is a high level of focus on movement technique to promote correct posture and prevent injury. This class is appropriate for all fitness levels as it can be tailored buy the instructor ‘on the fly’ to ensure every participant is being challenged but not over doing it. Participants with injuries are welcomed and encouraged to participate, just be sure to inform your instructor of your injury ahead of time so that they can provide you with appropriate limitations and exercise modifications.

BootCamp

This vigorous 75min workout is held outside, weather permitting. After a thorough warm up, participants are lead through a series of high intensity, short burst sprint type exercises and drills aimed at improving cardio vascular conditioning and increasing calorie expenditure. The focus on full body movement can be very challenging for the new comer however by the 3rd class you’ll find a noticeable difference in the amount of energy you can put out in the class and how quickly you recover; we promise! Please note that this class is not recommended for women in their 2nd or 3rd trimester; women who are less than 8 wks postnatal or persons w/ orthopedic injuries. If you are unsure whether this class is appropriate for you please do not hesitate to discuss your concerns with our Fitness Manager.

CardioSculpt (formerly Interval Training)

This intense class is designed to serve 2 specific purposes: strengthen muscles and burn calories to enhance tone throughout the body. After a thorough warm up, periods of intense cardiovascular work are alternated with ‘active recovery’ in the form of resistance-based exercises. The result… super toned muscles and unbelievable energy!

Pilates

Pilates is an exercise method that conditions the whole body. These mind-body exercises are performed at a controlled speed with minimum repetitions and maximum focus. The Pilates system begins by building strength from the core as a foundation, helping to balance the body’s musculature enabling a stronger, more stable spinal column; muscles will become toned; posture, flexibility and balance are improved. Results like these are valuable to everybody!

Ultimate Calorie Burner

This intensive 60-75min class has a little bit of everything! Participants will use weights, steps, bands, medicine balls and even each other to get their heart rates up and burn maximum calories in the allotted class time. Medium hard to hard intensity is maintained throughout the class with few breaks (if any)! This class is not recommended for women who are past their first trimester of pregnancy. It is also not recommended for those with injuries, however, some exceptions made based on individual circumstances so please do not hesitate to speak with the fitness manager.

Full Body Blast

This full body workout is a little bit of everything; we work the entire body using several different apparatus including but not limited to bands, medicine balls, pilates balls and steps.

Hard Core conditioning

Take the mixed-bag full body blast workout and mix in some high intensity sports drills just to push you to your limits. This class is definitely not for the faint of heart!

Functional Training

Just about any exercise that is performed with the body weight being supported independently (i.e. not resting on a machine) can be made into a functional exercise. Functional exercises try and simulate movements that our bodies need to perform each day in regular activities in order to improve strength throughout the movements helping to keep us in good posture and injury free.

Belly Dance Fitness

Based on traditional belly dance movement but with added intensity and repetition thisclass gives you a great core and cardio workout while maintaining the element of fun; it’s
almost like you’re not even working out…almost! Suitable for all fitness levels.

Zumba

Quickly becoming one of the hottest trends in fitness, Zumba is Latin-inspired dance based fitness. The routines are easy to follow and use a combination of fast and slow rhythms with influences from styles such as salsa, samba, belly dance, hip hop and Cumbia. This class is appropriate for all fitness levels!

Chiseled

This dynamic class is based on 4 or 5 full body strengthening exercises being are performed initially w/ minimal if any weights and lots of repetitions. As the wks progress and conditioning improves external resistance is added to these exercises and the reps are reduced focusing more on strength building. This cycling of intensity helps to avoid those very de-motivating plateaus while being as easy as possible on the joints as to .prevent injuries.
