PreDance
PreDance classes are a fun and exciting introduction to the world of dance. Classes are ballet based and children will learn basic ballet steps with the use of numerous games and creative activities. Emphasis is on developing a love for movement and an understanding of rhythm and musicality.
PrePrimary
Building on PreDance, PrePrimary classes continue to introduce children to ballet steps and technique while maintaining a fun atmosphere. In this level children begin to learn steps from the RAD (Royal Academy of Dance) ballet syllabus.
Primary Ballet
For continuing students this level consists of RAD syllabus and is the next step in a dancer’s ballet training.
Jazz
The pace in jazz classes is lively and energetic. Children will learn steps and combinations to current popular music as well as pop classics. Jazz classes help develop the ability to interpret contemporary rhythms and dance forms while ensuring your child has a fun experience.
Hip Hop

Tap

motor skills and an understanding of music in a fun environment. A variety
of types of music is used to ensure children stay engaged!
Contemporary
Contemporary is a relatively new style of dance that developed as an outgrowth of modern dance and other 20th century dance techniques. It draws some techniques, steps and methods from ballet and modern dance but does not follow one specific dance style. In contemporary class students will be asked to use energy and emotion to tell a story through dance and develop their own personal movement.
Musical Theatre & Broadway Classes
Musical Theatre classes expose children to dance, singing and acting. Games, activities and routines are tailored to the children’s age and skill level and are geared to increase confidence and ability to perform.
Our Broadway program was started to ensure even the youngest of performers had a chance to shine!!
Modern
In Modern class dancers will be encouraged to use their emotions and moods to create movement and routines. Modern dance often utilizes gravity and includes deliberate falls and more grounded movements than a classical ballet class. Modern class will provide dancers with a structured class with warm-up, centre work and across the floor exercises but doesn’t follow as strict a code of technique, as in ballet.
Acro
Acro is a combination of dance and gymnastics. In Acro class dancers will learn how to properly develop acrobatic and gymnastic skills with an emphasis on strength and flexibility. With unique choreography, students will learn to seamlessly blend dance and acrobatics as seen in such places as Cirque du Soleil.
Choreo
In this class dancers will be exposed to a variety of styles and types of music. Emphasis is on picking up choreography quickly and adapting to whatever is thrown at them. This is an ever-changing and high-energy class guaranteed to keep your dancer on their toes!
Lyrical
In lyrical class students will combine the structure of ballet, the emotion of modern and the contemporary feel of jazz to move in a unique and current way. The smooth yet rhythmic movement of lyrical is the perfect way to tell a story and bring life to the lyrics of contemporary or classic song.
